The Reaping Tale

The Reaping Tale is a single-player tabletop RPG in which you play as a personified story which kills other stories. It is a game about culture and the loss thereof, about colonialism and progress, and about thinking deeply about the stories we know and hold dear. It uses identical mechanics to the game Solitaire, with a storytelling aspect layered on top.

This game was originally designed for the Game Chef 2018 competition.

This game utilizes candlelight and paper & pen, and as such, may not be playable as-written for some with visual impairment or decreased manual dexterity.
